Emi先生の案で高校野球から色々な監督の名言を英語で学び、その後多様性について考えてみた。
最後に、もしあなたが何かの監督なら（何の監督で、いつ、どんなメッセージを目の前にいる生徒たちに伝えたいか）やってみよう！！（）の部分を英語で話し合い、スピーチは即興で日本語でやってもらいました（←日本語でも即興は難しい・・・思い浮かばない生徒はたくさんいますがELS21の子は講師の無茶振りに慣れています。え〜と言いながらもじゃんけんが始まり順番が来ると立ち、前に立ったら自然と話始めるんです。慣れるって面白い！！宿題はこれを英語で英語でできるようにしてくる！！さぁ、どんなスピーチが聞けるかな？？？
Today, we discussed the Japanese High School Baseball Match in class and talked about quotes from different head coaches. Then the students had an impromptu speech wherein they had to pretend to be a coach of a sport and give a speech to their players, either before or after a game, and whether they lost or won the game. They will give their speeches in English next week. I think doing improv is not common in Japanese lessons, so this is a great way to practice their skills in English and improvisation. I look forward to their speeches next week.
