Hello, 大阪府堺市堺区のチンチン電車綾ノ町駅くらすぐの子ども英会話教室ELS21です。
今日、ELS21中学生のクラスは節分についてでした。まず、節分について簡単なQAをして自分がイメージする鬼をホワイトボードに描いてもらい、その後３分以内に鬼のお面も作りました。ジャンケンで鬼を決め「鬼は外。福は内！」と英語で叫びながら、鬼にふわふわのボールを豆の代わりに投げました。英語では「デビル、アウト・ハピネス、イン！」と、言います。今日もみんな楽しんでくれよかったです。他のクラスでも、節分について学んでいきますので皆さんお楽しみに！！

Today, my junior high school class learned a few things about Setsubun. First, I asked them to draw an image of a demon on the whiteboard and we also made demon masks. Then we had a rock-paper-scissors match to decide who the demon was and we threw fluffy balls at the selected students while shouting "Devil's out! Happiness in!", just like the Setsubin ritual. It was fun and everyone enjoyed learning about Setsubun. We will try to do this lesson with the other classes as well, for us to learn more about the festival.
