先週の水曜日にMeg先生に教えてもらったピンクシャツディの事について勉強しました。ピンクシャツディとはいじめをなくそうという日です。まだ日本ではそんなにたくさん知られてはいませんが、2007年からこの活動はスタートされています。ELS21の選抜クラスでピンクシャツデーの事について学びました。毎年2月28日にはいじめをなくしたい人がピンクのシャツを着る日です。たまたま選抜の日だったのでその日は、みんなでピンクの服を着てレッスンにきました。たピンク色の折り紙でシャツを作り、それぞれが思ういじめをなくそうというメッセージを書きました。いろいろ考える事はとても良いことだと思っています。来年は全クラスでやりたいと思いました。
Last week, we studied Pink Shirt Day, which is held every February 28th, to stand against bullying. And today, S-Class students wore pink clothes to show our support for anti-bullying. We also made pink origami t-shirts and the students wrote messages on them to express their feelings about bullying. I think this activity is important, especially now that bullying is becoming common. I hope many people can learn why we have Pink Shirt Day and I hope fewer people will be bullied in Japan.
